Hi, I'm not sure what I'm dealing with, so I thought it would be better to come here instead of causing more problems. On May 30th, I installed the Windows update KB5026446 and since then, my games haven't worked or launched properly. Because it was a preview update, I thought it would be fixed in the next one, so I waited until it came out but it didn't. It wasn't until today that someone mentioned the same problem, and it looks like uninstalling the update was the only solution. How should I proceed? I've already looked in the "uninstall windows update" section in settings, but it's not there. What should I do?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer! You might want to attempt a system restore before the update. Curious to know, have you verified that your motherboard's BIOS is current?

how exactly do I do that? I've never backed anything up so I'm not sure if I have that. and yes I have, BIOS is up to date. I checked everything else prior to confirming the issue was the update.

It might be suggesting that the issue is linked to the update you installed afterward.

Review the window update log, and verify if the specified update appears there.
