Whenever I play on Discord, my monitor experiences unexpected pauses and stutters, keyboard reactions lag, and the RGB lights on my PC flicker on and off. The frame rate remains stable otherwise. Older titles cause severe stuttering, especially when played in full screen. After reaching out to Vengeance (Corsair) support, a representative who uses a Vengeance PC confirmed the problem is widespread among Vengeance PCs. They explained it’s not hardware-related but tied to applications on your system. I was discussing this in an old thread that was removed, which lost much useful detail, but it helped me realize using Process Explorer might be helpful. When Steam is running—whether active or background—it consumes a significant amount of input/output. Usage varies from 500–700 KB/s to 50–70 MB/s, which accounts for about 70% of my I/O. Closing Steam in Task Manager resolves these issues, but I’m seeking a lasting fix instead of repeatedly shutting it down. I’ve adjusted the graphical settings in Steam, but nothing has improved the situation. Right now, I can’t enjoy a consistent stream while Steam is open or running in the background.

There are several actions you can take.
Restart your stream until it stabilizes at good performance. It may succeed or not.
If you're streaming the game directly, sometimes it's wiser to switch to streaming your entire display; however, we use a separate monitor for the chat to maintain privacy.
The stream performs better without glitches, stutters, or mouse lag. Give it a try and check if you achieve better results.

The problem has persisted for years, which is why restarting Steam isn't effective. The alternative streaming approach to Discord also failed, as I've tried it before. Thank you for your feedback! It would have been better to mention this was an ongoing issue.

I experience frequent interruptions while streaming on Discord, such as random pauses and stutters on my monitor, keyboard inputs becoming erratic, RGB lights flickering on and off, and audio dropping temporarily before resuming. These problems persist even though FPS and other settings remain stable. The issue has lasted for many years. Restarting my PC repeatedly hasn’t resolved it, nor has switching the streaming method to the display helped. Reaching out to Vengeance (Corsair) support revealed the problem is widespread among their Vengeance PCs, though it seems tied to specific applications rather than the hardware itself. I previously tried using process explorer in a forum thread, which was removed without much value, but it taught me to explore that option further. My current setup includes a Vengeance A7200 750W ATX 80 PLUS Gold system with an B550 motherboard, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, and 32GB DDR4-3200 RAM.
