Hi,
The process involves preparing a bootable USB drive and using a tool like rufus to flash the BIOS. Would you like more details on the steps?

There might be a tool available for Windows to update the BIOS. Alternatively, you should start from DOS and execute the flashing program yourself. If the website lacks a dedicated flasher, a standard BIOS flasher could work. Regardless, I wouldn't suggest any actions as they could easily render your laptop non-functional permanently.

It would be better if they provided more information directly.

Thanks to everyone's responses. I believe my final option is to inquire if anyone can help obtain a real BIOS file for the laptop CQ62-a10SA. The one I currently have is the F.26 model. HP doesn't offer drivers or BIOS for PCs older than ten years (I know the drivers exist, but at least the BIOS files should be available).

Besides the .BIN file, do you also have the "Release Notes" for this version? That is, what benefits you'll receive by attempting to upgrade the BIOS? Once you enter BIOS, check which BIOS manufacturer it is (for example, American megtrends / AMI), and then look for a BIOS flasher from that vendor.
