It seems like you're suggesting a different path for transferring the item from the initial disk to the alternative one.

If you follow those directions, it also advises disconnecting the other drives...

The only two options are... clone or a clean install.
Both require having the least number of drives connected.
Suggesting to disconnect all other drives helps avoid errors.
More than once we've encountered the situation where "oops, I chose the wrong target drive, and it erased the only copy of my doctoral thesis!"

Because I had a factory reset on my PC, it shouldn't cause any issues for me.

Yes, it is definitely a concern.
What information is stored on these additional storage devices?
Do you know the details of your Disk 3?
Please list the specifications for each drive, including model and make.

I removed all my drives intentionally.
Is there any method to verify the model? I don’t understand what the disk C: and D: refer to.

However, if none of these drives are present, proceed with the cloning procedure.
Reminder: After completing the clone, you need to, repeatedly, disconnect the old C drive prior to starting it for the first time.
This step is mandatory.
Physical removal required.
