Check the manufacturer’s site for SSD options. It looks like only premium Gen 5 drives are available right now, so you may want to consider a higher-end model or wait for restocks.
Hold on for the more affordable SSD releases to return to shelves. I’m not sure every mid-range 2280 M.2 SSD is currently unavailable. What are you checking out? We can’t instantly create more inventory or lower prices on premium Gen 5 models.
Are you sure you require PCIe 5.0? PCIe 4.0 offers better value. A 4TB solid-state drive in M.2 form could match the cost: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/cDJp99/...004t-rnnng
I understand the issue, when checking the supported SSDs for my motherboard I couldn’t locate any affordable 2TB options. Just like you said, I’m not keen on spending $300 just for an SSD.
I understand, but it seems your system only recognizes the Gen 5 2TB SSD, while the other two TB models aren’t listed. It looks like those are currently unavailable for purchase.
Ssd storage is backward compatible. Any model will fit in any slot. I use gen 3 in my gen 5 device. You don’t need a gen 5. Just pick a gen 3 or 4 that fits your budget. It’s simpler than it looks.
