The rig seems quite solid overall. You chose compatible parts that work well together. The Pentium shouldn't limit performance on the 270X. For models like the 290 or 780, there might be minor concerns. Upgrading to a higher-end CPU could boost speeds, but it’s still a reliable budget build. With both CPU and GPU performing well, you could even assemble a compact ITX setup. I’d recommend the MSI 270X ITX and a Coolermaster Elite 110 for optimal cooling.

I think the main idea is that Bioshock isn't a CPU-intensive title. Unlike games such as Battlefield 4, where performance drops noticeably on weaker processors, CPU-heavy games can make a big difference here.

BF4 remains fully functional even on that setup, and especially with a lower tier card, the performance won’t be hindered much by the Pentium. It’s only in a few games on ultra that this might happen, but since 270x isn’t being used there, a Pentium should work just fine. It’s also very straightforward to upgrade to an i3/i5/i7 later. I understand it feels like it’s holding back last light here, but it’s still playable.

It works fine, but the graphics are top-notch and 1080p doesn’t push it beyond 50fps, even on a powerful card. The CPU is the main factor here.
