I reviewed my system specs and it's currently set to 3000MHz. My CPU is an Intel Core i7 6700K unlocked, and I have 32GB of DDR4 RAM at 3000MHz. XMP is enabled, and it previously ran at 2133MHz.

CPU-Z will display your DRAM speed as 1500Mhz, which matches the expected rate when memory operates at 3000Mhz.

DRAM Frequency doubled equals memory frequency. (1500Mhz × 2 = 3000Mhz). When memory clock is already set to 3000Mhz, frequency will adjust accordingly. Overclocking from 2133Mhz to 3000Mhz may result in performance gains, so changes will occur.

You adjusted the frequency to 1500MHz, but the Task Manager still shows memory speed as 1500MHz.

Return to your XMP profile set for 3000Mhz. This will adjust your memory clock accordingly. The DRAM Frequency will then rise automatically to achieve the overclocked speed.
