What should I prioritize, upgrading my GPU or CPU first?
It seems the focus is on upgrading for better gaming performance. The question asks about the motivation behind the upgrade and the desired settings such as CPU boosts, graphics resolution, and refresh rate. It also notes the recent nature of the components and the goal of achieving higher performance.

Hi, everything you assumed is right π
I'm aiming for consistent stable FPS of at least 60 with high or ultra settings if possible.
Right now, I usually play at 1080 resolution on a 75hz monitor.
Most games keep 60 FPS, but some like Final Fantasy XV and GTA V cause drops or freezes.
I'm also getting ready for upcoming titles such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Watchdog Legion.
I believe the CPU upgrade could make a bigger difference in boosting minimums compared to the GPU upgrade (since the jump from 2060 to 2070 isn't huge, and a 2060 should suffice for 1080p).
However, for GTA V it should already run well, though there was a previous bug that might lead to stuttering with six-core CPUsβworth looking into a patch if needed.
It's a simple one, your 2060 is perfect for 1080p at 144FPS gaming. I'd upgrade the CPU to a K version, like a 9900k or 10900k. If you're on a tighter budget, go for a 10700k with a socket 1200 board such as an Aorus Elite for around 200 bones. After that, boost your RAM using the same setup and fill all four slots. I think you likely have an SSD, so that shouldn't be a problem. Just get a new CPU and MOBO, my friend. Your 2060 will keep running solid for now until it's time to move up to something like a 4080Ti, 5080Ti or 6080Ti. It really depends on what the industry direction takes and how much you value features like ray tracing and all those tricks. Good luck! πππ½π―π¨π½βπ¦²
Hi, thank you for your guidance. Right now, I can only use LGA 1151 connectors and my budget is tight for upgrading the Mobo at the moment, haha. So, for now Iβll go with the 9900K π
