I chose to replace my CPU from a Ryzen 7 2700X to a Ryzen 7 5800X and wanted to know what I should be aware of since this is my first time handling upgrades before buying a pre-built PC.

Unless it's a B350 or X370, a build with a Zen+ CPU should have at least a B450. It would just require a BIOS update.
