I frequently play Marvel Rivals and stream on Twitch and TikTok, but the input lag is still high. I suspect it’s due to my PC needing improvements.
My setup includes:
Motherboard: MAG B550 Tomahawk max wifi (preferably via Ethernet)
GPU: RTX 3070 8gb
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x 8-core processor 8/16
PSU: 850W
RAM: 32GB DDR4
I’m able to upgrade RAM to DDR5 and the CPU, but I’m unsure which motherboard offers the best value. Since I’m familiar with AMD APUs, I assume an upgraded board would be beneficial too. I’m considering a GPU upgrade but have a moderate budget.
What upgrades should I prioritize?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Your setup includes a MAG B550 Tomahawk motherboard with maximum Wi-Fi capability (though Ethernet is recommended).
What BIOS version are you running?
You have 32 gigabytes of DDR4 RAM.
Could you explain this further?
Your power supply is rated at 850W.
This is the advertised power output; could you tell me the model and age of your PSU?
I often play Marvel Rivals and stream on Twitch and TikTok, but I notice high input latency. I think it might be due to needing hardware upgrades.
What resolution and refresh rate are you using for gaming? Is the latency issue only with Marvel Rivals?
I can upgrade my RAM to DDR5 and CPU, but I’m unsure which motherboard offers the best value since I already have an AMD Ryzen 5 and believe DDR5 requires a more powerful board. I’m considering a GPU upgrade too, but my budget is limited.
Tell me about your location and how much you’ve planned for this upgrade. Which store do you prefer for purchasing?

First, let’s acknowledge the right place to ask – this follows the spirit of the Animal’s *How To Ask For New Build Advice* post. I made it because many users here and on CPU forums are seeking similar guidance.
I moved this thread from the Components section to the Systems section.

The selection of CPU and display or monitor significantly influences the input lag experience.
