So now both the card and the screen are working on Windows 8.1? Actually, Dell's official support only lists drivers for Windows 10, not Windows 8.1. But it should still work fine because you have Intel drivers installed for your laptop model too. Go check that download page yourself to see which specific driver fits best. Which one do you need: Iris Plus, Bluetooth, Serial I/O, or Wi-Fi?
Not fully sure, but look for the "Intel UHD/HD/Iris Plus Graphics Driver" from the support page list. The following are the supported graphics cards: Intel UHD Graphics 620, Intel HD Graphics 610/615/620/630/P630, Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640/650
I believe there isn't a driver for Windows 8.1 like this one.
Yeah, that was exactly what I told before. You don't get Win 8.1 drivers. Try putting in the driver for Windows 10 instead, then see if it works or not?
There is a method that might work, but up to you. I've tried it many times with laptops that struggle when switching from an old operating system to a modern one because they don't know the right drivers. If you have Windows 8.1 installed, go to your Windows-system 32 folder. Copy that folder onto an external USB drive or hard drive. As I said up to you, reinstalling Windows 10 using a test drive can help everything work out and if needed keep your 8.1 l out of machine ,or just use it. Here is where the magic works after windows 10 is installed go to device manager and go to Display adapters and click update drivers. Click Browse my computer for drivers. Point the search to that system 32 folder you saved earlier, that is where windows keeps all your installed drivers and the .dll files as well. If all goes nicely it will install the card with out a fuss, the working 8.1 driver onto windows 10. I would also keep it off line so windows updates won't throw in bad drivers again. Go back on line when your all done. Yes it's the long way of doing it but you will need to see on your system if it works for you or not. I have had 100% success when I have had to out smart old hardware with a new OS with drivers.
