the main options for Linux on a gaming PC are limited to just three: SteamOS, if you enjoy trying new things, and Windows in all other situations. If you don’t have a budget for another OS, Windows is the best choice. For those who like staying up-to-date, 8 is recommended.

You can play any games on Linux, though drivers might cause issues. Just use Win8. Windows 7 helped us recover after Vista, but Win8 is the recommended choice now.
