I purchased an RX 5700 XT from AliExpress, considering an upgrade but finding the price gap to the next best GPU significant. The performance improvement was modest, around +20-30fps with the RTX 4060 compared to the RX 5700 XT’s ~$150 versus ~$350. I’m open to upgrades unless the benefit is substantial, so I’m thinking about getting another RX 5700 XT and installing it on my motherboard. I’ve heard SLI, Crossfire, and nv-link are mostly used for mining coins, not for general gaming.

Crossfire doesn't actually exist. Just buy the strongest card available, and the platform will let you. To add, SLI and/or Crossfire aren't typically involved in mining.
