What noise does my computer make?
When I power on my computer, it produces this noise. It disappears after a restart, meaning it only occurs during the first boot. I've moved around trying to find its source but haven't been able to locate it. A friend suggested it might be related to the AIO pump, though my temperatures and RPM readings are normal. Could you offer any ideas about what could be causing this?
Grab a sheet of A4 paper, roll it into a cylinder and hold one end to your ear. Use the other ear to probe for the source of the noise.
As for your specs, you forgot to mention the make and model of your PSU and it's age as well as the make and model of the case. If you have aftermarket fans on the case, include them as well as the orientation of said fans.
it's a warning that your unicorn is puking ugly LED rainbows everywhere!
but seriously, it sounds like either a fan is off balance and/or a case panel is vibrating and rattling in place.
i would first try disconnecting each fan, only one at a time though, before this initial boot.
Haha, if I got a new PC now I wouldn't have any LEDs at all. Oh 2018. I didn't know much about PC parts when I built it and had a lot of trouble connecting this AIO pump. By then it was a real mess with all the wires and those annoying pin connectors. I just packed everything into the back, sealed the case, and forgot about it. My case/mobo combo was also a pain because there wasn't enough room on the motherboard to fit the NZXT Controller that came with the case (for my beautiful LED lights & fan controls), so I ended up needing an NZXT extension hub which made things even more complicated. I still plan to fix it all over again. Thanks for your help.
Apologies, I've made the changes. Thank you for the suggestion, it's a helpful update.
This seems reasonable, I'll give it a shot. Appreciate the assistance greatly.
