I believe MGE XE is the better choice since it includes Morrowind SE. (I noticed some crashes with the other version.)

Gather all TES titles and start with the first one. If not, try Morrowind, then Oblivion, and finally Skyrim. Each is essential to play.

I’ve just wrapped up Arena and Skyrim. Morrowind and Oblivion I abandoned once I felt powerful enough (no mods). It seems I spent around 500 hours on Morrowind, but I still didn’t finish it.

I didn’t enjoy the music and visuals in Morrowind. In fact, I prefer the graphics in Daggerfall more. Although I haven’t finished any Elder Scrolls games, I discovered the Op Sword in the Tower early on, which might have made me feel powerful and let me finish the game easily.
