I once had Skyrim similar to five months ago, using several mods Nexus suggested. I removed the game because I didn’t enjoy it. Now I’m thinking about giving it another try. I recall a Nexus page listing recommended mods—can you point me there? Or do you have some other suggestions? Also, please avoid any graphics-heavy mods that might affect my 270 FPS.

Uhhh, here's a list I used. Things with a pound sign I have installed, others without it are not because I don't have the dlc. Links for some, not others, some links might not work so just search Nexus.

Are you suggesting modifications might harm the outcome?

Game enhancements come from mods, and Skyrim has noticeable issues in certain regions even without any patches. http://skyrimgems.com offers a solid collection of mods, making it simple to discover what you need.

Yeah of course (sometimes and depending on the mods ofc) Skyrim is a great game in its own right, there is nothing wrong with the vanilla game IMO, it still looks decent, and plays just fine

I should caution you that coordinating all the mods can be quite challenging. Often it demands modifying ini files and other settings, which can consume more time than enjoying the game itself. Still, I decided to try Skyrim mods using Nexus Mod Manager—it’s not always the most efficient method, but it’s the simplest one. Visit the Nexus site, download the manager, and fetch the mods there. The live chat also tends to have helpful users who can assist. Also worth mentioning is that some people in the chat shared their experiences, noting they spent more time troubleshooting mods than playing. Anyway, hope you enjoy Skyrim... and play the game! LOL

It would help if you added some modifications to enhance the game's appearance.
