Why avoid a B450 mortar or Tomahawk Max? If you’re okay skipping PCIe Gen4 and don’t mind updating to BIOS, a B550 motherboard makes no sense.

The B450 Tomahawk MAX costs too much when purchasing in the US, and the B450 Mortar isn't offered. Additionally, you won't be able to install a Ryzen 5000 processor at launch.
