What model are you looking for?
Looking for a motherboard that fits your PC components? I've reviewed the options you mentioned and checked the tier list. For a CPU like the AMD Ryzen 5 2600, a solid mid-range board should work well. The Corsair Carbide ATX case and EVGA power supply look solid choices. If you're still deciding on the GPU, ensure it matches the PCIe slot requirements. Let me know if you need more specific recommendations!
These motherboards are essentially identical in terms of features, overclocking potential, and BIOS. Choose the one that appeals to you more or offers better value.
I wasn't aware they were launching B550 motherboards. My PC case will arrive in two weeks, so I might postpone it.
I would say neither, if the budget is tight. Spend 75 pounds on an Asrock B450M Pro4 : https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/dQgz...b450m-pro4 It's good enough for up to a 3900x (12 core Ryzen), if you'll choose to upgrade in the future. Spend the difference on a better SSD (A400 is shit) or maybe put it towards a better video card. Or wait for B550 , sell your 2600 and get a 3600 or 3700x ... but b550 boards will be a bit expensive at least for a couple of weeks after launch
I'd rather avoid the trouble of selling my 2600. Is this board identical to the one you shared, just an ATX variant? https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/PCKc...-b450-pro4
They've received only positive feedback about the tomohawk, so you can be confident it won't let you down. But according to @Fasauceome, all MSI boards are great, and if you're on a limited budget, the more affordable option will work just fine.
Yes, it's identical. You receive 8 SATA connectors (though some become unavailable when using M.2 connectors) plus improved video output via DisplayPort instead of DVI and a few PCIe X1 slots. Worth the additional £5.
