What might be causing your PC to behave strangely?
What might be causing your PC to behave strangely?
Hopefully that is the reason. Time will clarify. It's possible it moved down there through the keys.
The burn spot is a concern. It seems to be under the space bar connection area (since the key labels are in reverse Qwerty order, upside down—could just be dirt? Or remnants of water damage from 2022).
Check if removing the rice resolves the issue?
Burned rice might have damaged the circuit, but since it only happens occasionally, I suspect the typing motion could have shifted it.
I don't know what layers are inside, as some keyboards include foam or rubber layers to absorb sound and likely block rice.
This connector isn't soldered. The main connector for the space bar is located in the center, while the side pieces provide stability without any switches attached. I plan to reassemble the keyboard after cleaning and check if it works properly.
Did the issues persist after turning off XMP?
Ram errors often lead to BSODs that can't be resolved. You might need to fix one driver to redirect the problem. Usually, ram errors are the main cause because they affect all your data. This results in corruption...
That's strange. I'm not sure what could trigger random sleep. Is there a key function that might do that?
I double checked, and it seems I didn't fully disable xmp, but now it's completed, so I'll check. And no, not at all—my neyboard has no strange buttons. It's just a standard TKL model.
The keyboard is assembled, and I'll create a new thread if problems continue, allowing you to close this one. Turning off the xmp and cleaning the keyboard may have helped.
