Hi everyone, I’m looking for advice on selecting the right CPU for 1440p gaming with an RTX 5080 or the upcoming RTX 6080. I understand there are ways to create bottlenecks, but I’m trying to find the best options. Are there specific charts available, or do I need to analyze the specs and do the calculations myself? For instance, my 10700K seems insufficient for newer RTX models if I want to get the most performance out of it. Would R9 9700X be enough, or should I upgrade further? Also, I do some video editing and general PC work.

Even if you're limited to 85 FPS, adjusting settings, resolution, or textures can help you reach a smoother experience. Changing the CPU would allow you to hit 105 FPS, but only if your current configuration supports it.
