Someone else shares your concerns about the rig's performance. You've invested a lot and are concerned about power issues that might go unnoticed over time. It seems unclear if anyone has confirmed this possibility or if all problems become obvious suddenly. Your worries about your PC's decline despite clear proof data are understandable. How can you ease these fears? Is this a real issue affecting others, or is it just anxiety? I'm currently in therapy and prefer logical reasoning to help calm my mind. Anyone else experienced similar doubts? How did they manage their worries?
From a backyard lightning strike a few years back, the sole issue on my PC was the ethernet port. It was clear and immediate. A few other parts of the house were also affected, but they didn’t impact "fps" or cause any noticeable degradation. When I spoke to my son in his mid-30s about this, he mentioned it was something he’d seen with him or his friends before. That raises concerns—anxiety? Stress? Worry?—but that’s a separate matter and not connected to the PC itself.
It's common for many of us to stress over things we can't influence, especially when medical support is available—but its effectiveness might be limited.
Many individuals focus on concerns that are beyond their control each day. This applies to me as well; it has nothing to do with "rigs."
There are too many factors to determine if a component is changing over time. It's probable that other elements are fluctuating constantly, such as emails and the allocated disk space, usage by other programs, software updates, etc. I believe it's possible to build a career analyzing these kinds of variations.
Don't stress over things beyond your control. Focus on what you *can* influence. This involves setting up a solid system, using a reliable power supply, ensuring stable electricity at home, and maintaining a clean PC case from dust. It also means organizing your file system, keeping your operating system tidy, and implementing a reliable backup plan with multiple copies stored in different locations. Once you handle the controllable aspects, the uncontrollable ones become easier to manage, reducing unexpected issues and minimizing damage.
