How do you handle performance problems in-game? I was curious about your methods for troubleshooting and diagnosing issues, such as stutters. I’ve managed to reduce most of them using BlurbustersGuide for freesync, capping the framerate, and improving frame pacing—it really makes a difference. Still, I encounter some major spikes that break immersion right away. What approaches or thinking do you use to identify the root cause? Thanks for your time, I really appreciate it!

Check these aspects right away:
Are the components getting too hot?
Did I overlook adjusting the proper power settings?
Are there any additional factors I missed that I should have noticed?

Additional considerations:
Is this a sufficiently recent game where updating GPU drivers might help?
Are other titles experiencing the same issue?
Would a clean boot resolve this problem?
Could a recent game update be responsible?
Has a fresh Windows installation caused difficulties?

I think I’ve stayed within the scope of what’s important.

If you only experience one major spike occasionally, it's likely the ram is filling up and needs to be replaced.
I'm not entirely sure, but I believe this will occur with any amount of ram if you keep using it for a while—it will eventually fill up and require swapping.

This is the standard procedure.
You can utilize a highly responsive nvme for the game and the pagefile, which should help lessen this issue, though I believe it's unlikely to eliminate it entirely.
