What methods are available to boost your RAM performance?
I own a Ryzen 3 2200g, ASRock B450m HDV r4.0, Patriot Viper Steel Series DDR4 8GB 3000MHz module - PVS48G300C6, with BIOS 3.20. The CPUID shows my DRAM speed at 1064MHz, but I’m unsure how to increase it. Also, after applying the XMP profile, the system fails to boot—fans run and lights stay on without any display. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
when you turn on the XMP profile, wait a moment before assuming it won’t boot. The system might need a minute or two to accept the new settings.
if you need to slow down after enabling XMP, you can go to BIOS and press PAGE UP and PAGE DN under the RAM speed options, good luck!

I left it on for about 10 minutes at each setting and finally booted on 2666MHz. But only half is visible.

Is this typical or should adjustments be made?
Memory modules are typically offered with a default dual-channel configuration (two RAM sticks working together). Since they're sold this way, when people refer to them as xxxx speed memory, it usually means they're designed for dual-channel operation. If you have just one RAM stick installed, it will only perform at half the advertised speed because it's not part of a dual-channel setup.
