I've read online that it's best not to use generic cables for any PSU without ensuring they're specifically designed for that model. I'm very careful about handling my existing PSU cables and overall build. I'm unsure about the strength of each cable or how to place them without damaging components, such as forcing them into tight spaces where they might be hidden.
