Dear Community,
I am trying to create a setup where several PCs can access the same camera to capture images, though not simultaneously. The camera could be a webcam or a smartphone.
Kind Regards, Mirlan

Just install the camera software on each PC.
This should not cause issues if the camera has a static IP address and multiple PCs can access the camera simultaneously.
If you have several cameras, ensure each one has a static IP so users can easily identify the webcam or phone for selection.
Start with one PC that can take pictures—first using a webcam, then adding phone cameras.
It’s unclear how phone cameras will fit into the overall setup...
Apply the lessons from this configuration to add another PC capable of capturing images through the camera.
Proceed with PC #3, #4, etc., keeping in mind the software limitations.

Just set up the camera software on each PC.
This should work fine if the camera uses a static IP address, allowing several PCs to access it simultaneously.
When using more than one camera, assign each one a fixed IP so users can easily identify the webcam or phone.
Begin by installing the software on a single PC that can capture images, first with a webcam, then adding phone cameras.
It’s unclear how phone cameras will fit in, but it might be simpler to add additional webcams instead.
Keep in mind there may be limits on how many camera software versions can be installed.
Also, consider the integration of phone cameras; if uncertain, you could opt for extra webcams.

Details will help in planning.
Start with a network diagram of PCs and cameras to plan connectivity and IP assignments.

Ensure the camera is linked to one unified system. Employ tools such as TeamViewer or TinyVNC from other devices to access the main camera PC. It's unclear if the target device supports multiple simultaneous connections in this setup.
