What method works to resolve lag and audio issues in Halo: CE on MCC?
I own MCC on Steam and for some reason whenever I play Halo: CE the cutscenes and parts of the gameplay often lag significantly. Additionally, the music frequently skips unexpectedly, which is unusual. This issue only occurs with Halo: CE and not with any other games available on MCC. If anyone can assist, I would really appreciate it! 👍
try to verify/rehash the installation through Steam.
still runs fine for me.

It's the earliest version, with physics linked to 30FPS, suggesting they kept that setting and the visuals operate at a different frame rate compared to the rest of the game. This page discusses a solution by using Chimera.
Are you going to reply? I'm trying to get MCC to work smoothly with Halo: CE but there's still some lag and the music plays weird as it like skips parts of the song in a weird way. Also, the cutscenes are very glitchy at times and icons seem to disappear from the screen.
are you planning to reply if you've even attempted any of the provided fixes?

it might help to adjust max frame rates and other settings, but I don't think it will resolve your issue since the game is running smoothly on my system and many others.
double-check that you have all the necessary codecs and redistributables installed.
typically found in a standard "Redist" folder for older games.
Sorry for the delayed response. I'm in rehab right now and it takes up a lot of my time. I also regret not trying other options sooner. How can I verify that the codecs and redistributables are installed? What software is required, and where can I find it? If you share a screenshot of the "Redist" folder, could you confirm whether everything looks correct? Thank you for your patience.
if you own the official version, required codecs are usually pre-installed or available in the installation folder—no need to upload or display anything.
I haven’t had to manually install redistributables in over a decade, having played hundreds of games during that period.
As mentioned before, Halo: CE Anniversary ran smoothly on my Windows 10 system via MCC.
Ensure you’re not using any third-party mods.
Rehash and verify files through Steam.
If issues continue, it’s likely your system isn’t capable of playing the game as intended.
