I just completed setting up my new custom PC today. Now I'm at the Windows 11 installation screen, which asks me to connect to a network for the latest features and security updates. The issue is here. There are no networks listed, only an Ethernet cable option, but I don’t have one. I checked the troubleshooting tips and they suggested using a wireless adapter. I bought the NETGEAR Nighthawk AXE3000 Wi-Fi USB Adapter, but I’m not sure how it connects me to a network or allows me to detect nearby ones. I need help so I can access my PC as soon as possible.

Ethernet cable or WiFi...those are your options.
The USB adapter included a thumb drive with drivers—install those. This should activate the USB WiFi device, letting you connect to your router.

I attempted to insert the thumb drive straight into the pc, but nothing happened—it remains on the same screen with no networks visible. Yes, drivers are present. Also, this seems crucial, yet my motherboard displays "M.2 Wi-Fi" next to a port that looks identical to the one I used for my graphics card.

The WiFi adapter's thumb drive includes instructions? If not, refer to the provided links.

It came with those in the drive along with a paper copy in the box I received. Also, I'm pretty sure this is quite important, but my motherboard has a label that says, "M.2 Wi-Fi" next to a port that looks similar to the one I put my graphics card in.

Yes, but it restricts you to working on a different device, specifically the laptop you're presently using.

Disregard any mention of "M.2 Wi-Fi" as it pertains to another setup.
The issue with installing the driver on the new PC remains unclear.
