Refer to the example. I want to arrange the rows based on the year I enter... how can I do that? I made a mistake in the selection. The top-most YEAR is a label and shouldn't be sorted.

This guide shows how to maintain row alignment while sorting in Excel and Google Sheets. It explains the process of keeping rows together during a sort, similar to what you'd see in LibreOffice.

don't worry about columns on the left or right, i just need to rearrange the rows so that the oldest year appears first, like 2014.

Only the blue rectangle needs to be sorted.

Is this a genuine Excel file or a LibreOffice document?

items on either side are shifted together, items in a specific row remain unaffected. It's openoffice

You need to choose the relevant data points to sort. Then you will see a prompt.
