I need to keep my Surface Pro touch screen off.
I've disabled and uninstalled the driver, but it keeps reinstalling and turning on.
How can I stop this?
I don't want the touchscreen ever on.
Reason: It's causing the boot to stall at the surface logo.
It worked after I left it alone for 8-10 hours.
But it came back on and was reinstalled again.

Check if the device's firmware is current and whether a BIOS/UEFI setting exists to adjust it. Also, confirm the installed Windows version and its update status.

Win 10 is up to date. The touch screen tends to keep turning on even after disabling or uninstalling drivers. I’m also pretty sure it’s the cause of the screen freezing on the surface logo. Once it boots into Windows, the screen feels responsive as if many fingers were touching it. When the touch screen is off, everything works perfectly. I don’t know why, but I’ve seen others with damaged screens experience the same problem.

I think you're right about the touch screen, and I acknowledge your concerns. Did you check if the Surface's firmware is current? It seems like a faulty product based on the information I found. Apart from turning it off occasionally, there doesn't appear to be another option besides repair or replacement. Could you tell me the exact model of your device?

Surface Pro 3 seems current. I'm not sure how to verify the firmware.
