There are free options available to divide your PDF by page ranges without using Adobe Acrobat Pro. You can explore online converters or built-in features in other software that support splitting documents.

With MS Word you can bring in the PDF, remove certain pages, and then save it again as a PDF. But if your file is big and you must divide it into numerous smaller ones, it might become quite cumbersome.

You may utilize a PDF writer to compose the desired pages into one or more PDF documents.

There are other similar resources available.
For this task, you should consider employing a script rather than a single command.
This approach isn’t something I’ve handled before (full disclosure).
But if you’re a developer or familiar with PowerShell or comparable tools, it might be worth exploring.
Make sure to test on a copy of the original file and in a trial setup, so you can revert if needed.
If not, consider using the recommended third-party solutions.
Again, always perform this in a testing environment.

Open the original PDF file. Proceed with printing the specified page range. This method will generate the required smaller sections without needing additional tools.

I use Foxit PDF and it works perfectly. The alternative "print to PDF" with a specific page range is equally effective. You can use this method in Word or any standard PDF viewer.
