The Nipogi Mini PC includes an UEFI setting to turn it on daily at a chosen time, but lacks an option to activate it automatically when power returns. A smart plug could mimic a power outage and trigger the UEFI setting, though using a smart plug to shut down the system appears risky. Is there another way to achieve this with this device?
These are hardware and bios configurations, not Windows settings.
To stop machines without restarting apps, I often use sleep mode.
After turning off the power switch, I don’t see any warnings.
I’ve done this on several devices, and it works smoothly—feels like a quick key press to exit sleep, though not instant.
Windows handles power interruptions well while applications run, though you still risk data loss.
It’s not the same as old concerns about physical damage from sudden shutdowns.
