Which laptop suits better for everyday tasks and light gaming? I’m considering a purchase that balances general use with some gaming needs. I’ve compared two options at a similar price point—one with a Lenovo Ideapad Pro featuring a 14-inch WQXGA display, Ryzen 5600u processor, and GeForce MX450 graphics, and the other with an ASUS Vivobook Pro offering a 14-inch 2.8k OLED screen, an Intel i5-11300h, GTX 1650, and 8GB RAM that isn’t upgradable.

According to current norms, a system with just 8GB of RAM is typically suited for personal or professional environments.

When gaming matters, the second option is preferable due to its stronger GPU, though RAM might still be a limiting factor. I’d pick the first one if gaming isn’t crucial, since 8 gigabytes is quite modest by current standards.
