He’s considering the Aorus Elite after reviewing his choices. The price seems unbeatable right now and gives him flexibility for high-end RAM and low latency memory. I suggested he go for the G.Skill Trident Z Royal as a joke, but he might be thinking about the Corsair Vengance RGB White. There don’t appear to be serial numbers on the QVL. Anyone know if a 3600mhz 16GB setup would fit his needs?
It will work for sure. No need to limit to RAM on QVL list, that's just informative, not updated with new series of ram sticks. It's just what memory gigabyte had in their test labs when hey tested the board. Also, the qvl list will often contain overclocked memory (ex 3600 mhz sticks running at 4400 mhz with higher voltage and timings) Ryzen 3rd gen is pretty much compatible with any ddr4 ram, no worries.
Nowadays it's much easier than before when first-gen Ryzen needed specific Samsung BDRAM RAM modules. That's a big relief. Thanks to everyone for your support!
