What kind of motherboard you're looking for?
I recently purchased an RX 5700 XT and noticed that some games didn’t run as smoothly, especially Forza Horizon 3 and 4. I suspect the issue might be related to my CPU. I have an i5 7600K that’s stable at around 4.7GHz but keeps crashing when I push it higher. I’m considering upgrading to a Ryzen 7 for better performance with more cores and threads. My Corsair H115i cooler should handle the heat, but I’m unsure which motherboard to choose. The graphics card supports PCIe Gen 4, but based on what I’ve read, it might not be worth investing in a Gen 4 board right now. Thanks for your assistance.
if you're just testing a 3600, it'll work nearly as well as with motherboards for the B450. Consider the Tomahawk Max for the B550 Strix F Aorus Pro Tomahawk Mortar, which is a bit more affordable, or the TUF for the X570—either the TUF or the X570-P might be a better pick.
Are you referring to Zen 2 and 3? We're uncertain because Zen 3 hasn't been released yet.
You'd notice a change if you switched to a Gen 4 PCIe motherboard. The differences depend on the specific features and support of each generation.
I chose the Ryzen 5 3600X, but would switching to an i5 9600K be advantageous? The costs are similar, mainly because it means I won’t need to replace my motherboard since I already have a Strix Z270F.
