Hello, I'm currently utilizing a Samsung 970 Evo 1TB NVMe solid-state drive in my desktop computer (Intel 9900K, NVIDIA RTX 2080Ti). I intend to purchase a 970 Evo Plus 2TB NVMe SSD when it becomes available. Considering my primary use case is gaming – particularly running the newest titles, especially high-resolution 4K games with complex 3D graphics – does switching between a 970 Evo Plus, a 970 Evo, or traditional SATA III SSDs like the 850 PRO create a discernible improvement in performance? I feel that SATA III SSDs offer greater storage space for a lower price.
Disk speed has a small impact on gaming – primarily concerning loading times for games and levels.
