It might be a vertical refresh problem where vsynch or adaptive vsynch is being triggered to prevent wasted FPS on a 60Hz monitor. You can turn it off in the driver and maybe also in the game settings, but if your monitor only runs at 60Hz it's pointless to aim for more than that. In most cases, the issue seems to be with the game engine not handling draw distance changes properly—there’s little you can do except overclock or reduce the draw distance to improve performance.

I have a 165hz monitor, so it can't be the 60hz one.
🙁

What do you think about upgrading your CPU to a 5800x?

I think the same issue might occur again.
Beginning at high speeds and slowly reducing it doesn’t seem like a CPU problem unless thermal throttling is happening, which hasn’t been reported.
Also, the 5800X could cause another concern: thermals.
Have you checked EA/Warzone forums already?

I don't think so, but you're dealing with a time-consuming process to figure out what's causing the traffic jam. Remember anything unusual you did yesterday or before the game began? Like a Windows update, a recent game patch, or an antivirus scan? Any software you installed recently might be involved. Also, check if this issue appears only in Warzone—if so, the problem is likely tied to that game. If it happens across multiple titles, it probably points to a driver or software issue.

Ensure the monitor is configured to 165kz in Windows display settings and within the NVIDIA control panel. Occasionally applying Windows updates and GPU driver updates may reset it back to the default 60hz without cause. Also verify the game settings, as checking across multiple places helps confirm the problem isn't elsewhere.

The issue began to worsen after about three days of use. The frame rate was always not very high.

Hey everyone, I tried something that boosted my FPS for anyone reading this because of the same issue. It added at least 15-20 fps. I installed the cold war nvidia driver 457.30, though I don't know why it helped—it worked either way.
