I finally tackled creating my "BIOS floppy" to address the POST issues on my P4C800-E Deluxe. Unfortunately, I’m stuck on generating an MS-DOS bootable floppy in the way I want. Yes, I can produce a 6.22 MS-DOS bootable version, but it leaves only 50KB free space and requires 680KB. That’s why I’m here to figure out which files to remove and which are essential. Right now on the disk: Spoiler ATTRIB.EXE AUTOEXEC.BAT C.BAT CD1.SYS CD2.SYS CD3.SYS CD4.SYS CHKDSK.EXE COMMAND.COM CONFIG.SYS DELTREE.EXE DOSKEY.EXE (initially thought of as DONKEY.EXE) EDIT.EXE EDIT.HLP EDIT.CONFIG EMM386.EXE FDISK.EXE FIND.EXE FORMAT.EXE HIMEM.SYS LABEL.EXE MEM.EXE MOUSE.@@@ MOUSE.EXE MOUSE.CONFIG MOUSE.SYS MSCDEX.EXE QBASIC.EXE QBASIC.HLP RESTORE.EXE SCANDISK.EXE SCANDISK.CONFIG SETVER.EXE SHARE.EXE SYS.EXE TREE.EXE UNDELETE.EXE UNDELETE.CONFIG UNFORMAT.EXE XCOPY.EXE I understand that AUTOEXEC.BAT, COMMAND.COM, CONFIG.SYS, and DOSKEY.EXE are likely crucial, while MOUSE.@@@, MOUSE.EXE, MOUSE.CONFIG, and MOUSE.SYS might not be essential. Anyone else have ideas on what’s unnecessary for a BIOS flash with AFUDOS.EXE? Thanks!

You can safely execute the following commands: ATTRIB.EXE CD1.SYS CD2.SYS CD3.SYS CD4.SYS (Ensure they're not in config/autoexec) CHKDSK.EXE DELTREE .EXE DOSKEY.EXE (Initially thought it was DONKEY.EXE) EDIT.EXE EDIT.HLP EDIT.CONFIG FDISK.EXE FIND.EXE MSCDEX.EXE QBASIC.EXE QBASIC.HLP RESTORE.EXE SCANDISK.EXE SCANDISK.CONFIG SETVER.EXE SHARE.EXE SYS.EXE TREE.EXE UNDELETE.EXE UNDELETE.CONFIG UNFORMAT.EXE XCOPY.EXE What's your free space look like after that?
