What is your question?
I transitioned from my PS3 to a mid-range gaming PC (originally FX-6300 and GTX 960). I considered 1080p the pinnacle, but I’m convinced 1080p is impressive compared to consoles. Recently upgrading to a 1440p setup (BenQ GW2765HT) with an i5-4690K and GTX 970 at stock speeds, it runs smoothly at 1440p. Personally, I enjoy the sharper visuals and feel no need for additional upgrades. Many claim 1440p isn’t worth it, but I see it as a strong step forward. It’s hard to argue that 4K demands high-end hardware for smooth performance, especially since 144Hz isn’t yet standard there. What are your thoughts?
In my view, 3440x1440 offers the highest quality (also known as 1440p), though it comes with a high cost right now.
Some say 1440p isn't worth the investment because it doesn't offer real value objectively. It might look nice, but most devices now use 1080p, and streaming platforms are moving to 4K. Society has jumped over 1440, making it mainly useful for gaming.
I agree with that point. Which resolution do you like more—1440p or 4K? The key takeaway is that your device doesn’t need to be as strong to handle either.
