What is you think of steam trading cards?
People shared their opinions on Steam trading cards. Some feel they’re really into them and enjoy improving their Steam accounts. It’s impressive how Valve set up this feature, but from a practical standpoint, it doesn’t make much sense. How involved are you in this trend, and do you care about boosting your Steam profile?
Fun fact for the people who sell them: You have a higher chance of getting booster packs of 3 cards if you level up your profile. At level 10, you get a 10% boost to your chances. At level 20, a 20% boost, and so on. If you want money, that's how you maximize your chances of getting random money from time to time. Leveling up to increase your chances helps. Basically, what I do is I sell the valuable cards and use those to buy the cheap cards in bulk. Then I craft badges with the cheap cards and sell what I get from that to buy more cards. It was a very good system during the SSS because I got a Steam Adventure card each time I crafted a badge that was worth $0.15-$0.25ish. The only exception is the badges I actually want to level up, such as Agarest: Generations of War. That game's cards sell for $0.30-$0.40 when most other cards I get sell for $0.05-$0.25 at most. It's kinda crazy honestly. Though I did get a background when crafting one of Agarest's badges that sold for $3.00+. That was sweet. You get the idea.
