I replaced the motherboard on my Dell Latitude E6420 laptop. Everything went well except for one loose cable whose destination I can't remember. The label says PAL50 rj11. Anyone know what it is? Thanks for any advice.

But I'm sorry, but I already understood what it was. I wonder if you meant to ask about its connection point on the motherboard.

When you took apart the laptop to swap out the motherboard, did you notice it linked to anything on the board? If not, keep it as it is. RJ11 connectors are outdated in this era.
Does your device have an adapter similar to this one?

Unfortunately, I can't recall disconnecting it. I've disassembled the laptop and checked the motherboard for any connection points, but nothing was found. You're likely correct—don't stress since you only use Wi-Fi. Thanks a bunch.

RJ11 are the connectors for linking phones, fax machines, and older modems that worked with a traditional phone line. It seems safe to leave it disconnected now. No one uses them any more.
