I recently purchased an ASUS ROG Astral 5090 and don’t want to use the stock cable with four 8-pin connectors. I’m looking for a reliable 90-degree cable instead. The recent issues with the 12v2x6 ports have made me very cautious. If anyone has any recommendations, I’d really appreciate it.

I would suggest avoiding the angled adapters. Opt for using the harness that comes with your PSU or the adapter, ensuring the bend is seamless rather than a stiff, uncomfortable angle. Cablemod has also experienced issues with their adapters.

the advice I came across while using the 4070 super is worth noting. Be mindful of the amount of bending involved; the 4 x 8 pin adapter might be more dependable than the existing cable housing. Alternatively, refer to the power supply's specifications for details.

Yeah, I'm not sure if the PSU is 12V-2×6 or 12VHPWR.

From what I understand, the Gen 5.0 model uses 12 volts with two 6-volt outputs.
ROG Strix 1200W Gold Aura Edition is a sleek, quiet, and strong power supply designed for efficiency in a stylish way.
