When searching for the quickest browser for PC, Chrome and Edge are commonly recommended. Edge performs particularly well on Windows due to its lower resource usage. For older or budget PCs, Brave offers a solid alternative—it runs smoothly, is lightweight, and automatically blocks ads.

I doubt there is a single browser that is "fastest" across all use cases.
Rendering text? Pictures? Video?
But in reality, all the other parts of the chain probably have much more effect.
Server properties, PC/laptop properties, the internet speed, what else is currently running on the system in question, etc, etc, etc.

Thorium Browser is a Chromium fork designed for Linux, Windows, MacOS, Android, and Raspberry Pi. It is named after the radioactive element No. 90.

In most situations, it's the extensions or add-ons that cause delays.
If you wish to assess your system, be sure to turn off or disable these extensions.

if the browser lacks a similar feature to Firefox...it's not great...that speed feature is really impressive

Opt for a few trials to see what works best, as speed may vary on your PC.

I don't know which browser is the quickest. The one I'm using hasn't caused any issues with its performance.
