The recommended combination for Alice style on the Keyctron Q8 is the low-profile, narrow square layout. For compatibility with style caps, the TTC Hey Linear Switches are suggested. If you need options in stock or prefer Kailh BOX Switches in dark yellow, they are also viable choices.

Just for fun, why are you focusing on heavy linear switches? It undermines the goal of a gaming keyboard with such a switch, leading to more finger strain and slower response in competitive play. Plus, they’re terrible for typing as well—especially when fatigue sets in.

The YMDK page returns a 404 error on their site.
It seems to work here: https://ymdkey.com/products/gbymdk-...3&_sid=540558df9&_ss=r&variant=39348940832829
Also, are those caps on the keyboard compatible with your setup after moving it? They seem to have a different underside. You’re investing a lot in a DIY project—what stops you from getting a high-quality set?

switches similar to my current one don't lead to finger fatigue
i prefer the cap design but haven't found anyone who makes it for under $100, especially for custom builds
