Same applies to the GT 1030 linked above.
According to Nividia specifications, there is no such thing as a 5K2K resolution. The LG monitor in question, and what I mentioned earlier, is a 4K ultra-wide display. The proper term for that resolution is 5120x2160. This is sufficient for 4K ultra-wide.
Recommended steps:
* upgrade to a new monitor
* check if your existing GPU can handle it smoothly
* if possible, proceed with the purchase. If not, consider a more powerful GPU, such as an RTX 5050.

You might not like the name (I share that opinion too), but it's what the market chose based on your link and LG's naming in the title description.

There are video cards that work with DisplayPort 1.3 or newer ports and can handle 5120x2160 at 60Hz.
When aiming for an uncompressed image instead of DSC, you need a card with HDMI support that meets at least the nvidia 30 or AMD 6000 series requirements.
For HDMI up to 120Hz, the same conditions apply, though for DisplayPort it needs at least the nvidia 50 or AMD 7000 series.
Higher refresh rates demand a monitor with a full-bandwidth DisplayPort connector, which is uncommon, and for consumer cards AMD doesn’t support it.
If compressed images aren’t a concern, any card supporting DisplayPort 1.4 and full HDMI 2.1 will have DSC.
Note: When purchasing older cards, keep in mind the importance of driver support, which is more manageable for AMD than Nvidia on Linux.

The Quadro T400 can handle up to three 5120x2880@60Hz screens simultaneously, which is more than enough for a single 5120x2160 display. If you require only one or two, it offers the best value for about $100-130 used on eBay. You'll just need a mini displayport adapter or a cable to connect full-sized ports from the T400's mini outputs to your device. For tasks like CAD work on a dedicated workstation, a workstation card might be more suitable.

Marketing content from LG's website is evident. The monitor image on the right displays "WUHD." Additionally, LG's claim that this monitor is the "world's 1st 5k2k" appears to be misleading. The 5k2k OLED was revealed on December 26, 2025, just two to three days prior. Meanwhile, Dell's U4025QW model shares the same specifications and was released around February 27, 2024. Dell refers to it as "WUHD." The industry is using the term "WUHD" or "UW5K," while the Wikipedia page on ultra-wide formats clarifies it as "Ultrawide Aspect Ratios." LG is attempting to rebrand the existing naming conventions for resolution, which is considered a poor strategy. For example, 2k1k is 1920x1080, 2.5k1k is 2560x1080, and so on.

Hehe, just check that link again—you can really dislike it if you want, but it's picked by the industry for its name.

Is there any GPU acceleration being utilized? A superior GPU could significantly enhance CAD performance.
