Alternative options are available, but using two 8GB sticks provides the advantage of dual-channel memory for Ryzen processors.

You can also pick a B450 iX motherboard. Overclocking won’t be a big priority, and the X570 iX features will only matter if you need Thunderbolt 3. The B450 chipset handles heat better than the X570, so overclocking remains possible. PCIe Gen 3 and Gen 4 differences aren’t huge in practice.
