Good Day everyone. I trust you are all well.
Now my ryzen is parked for upgrades and my i7 motherboard blew 2 caps so now I am sitting with a A8-3870k. The problem with this CPU is no matter what aircooler I installed
the CPU would instant reach 80 C. So I took my Ryzen's AIO, installed it and boom works like a bomb. It's just a work PC. I just installed an RX 470 for casual gaming like Torchlight 2, diablo 2, etc.
I fixed a Clients server earlier today and I got to mess around with this CPU..
Was wondering if anyone actually did try to push this CPU to the max. What's the biggest problem with APU's? AMD overvolt them. I have my brother's 2400G at 1.5v and I changed it to 1.4v and it's stable. I can maybe go lower but my brother does not live close so we need it to be reliable. Now with this CPU, I have it running at 3.5ghz at 1.4v. At stock it was 3ghz at 1.475v. I know it does not matter how far I push this CPU as crap will be crap. Would just like to know who else was bored and did a pointless experiment
😛
PS: I am gonna try to get this PC to 3.7ghz. If anyone see something shooting to the moon. It is my PC not a fallen star

I still have some FM2 systems with functional APUs, but no FM1s. I lowered the 25% overclock after five years since the CPU was becoming unstable. This guide might be helpful.
