Hello. I recently upgraded my old GTX 970 to an RTX 5070 Ti, but my CPU is an i7 10700K and it’s running at full capacity with the new graphics card, causing frequent crashes and reboots. Therefore, I need to upgrade everything now.

I use my computer for photo editing in Photoshop and intense gaming, such as Warzone, where high FPS is essential or other demanding titles.

My setup includes:
Case: nzxt source 340 miditower
Monitor: ASUS VG278Q (may change later)
Power Supply: Seasonic Core GX-650 ATX 3.0, 650-watt, 80 Plus Gold certified, fully modular, PCIe Gen 5 compatible.

My budget is between 900 and 1000 euros for all components. If it drops below 900 euros, I’d prefer a bit higher, around 1200, but it would be a significant increase.

I plan to purchase parts from this website:
https://www.custompc.com.cy/

These are the builders of my PC, and I’ll buy the components from them, ideally having them installed by them. My country is Cyprus. I’d appreciate if you visit that site and let me know which products are available or if you can create a shopping card with your recommendations. If you prefer, just list the items you suggest.

CPU: Intel preferred (other options acceptable)
RAM: 64 GB recommended
Motherboard: Any that fits well with the rest of the system
SSD: NVMe preferred, 2-4 TB is ideal
Tower case: Please recommend only if my current setup won’t work with these parts.

I just want the optimal combination so my RTX 5070 Ti functions perfectly with components that complement it, staying within my budget and avoiding any bottlenecks.

Thank you in advance.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer! I recently upgraded my old gtx 970 to an rtx 5070 ti. Have you verified that your motherboard runs the latest BIOS? Did you use DDU to eliminate all GPU drivers—Intel, AMD, and Nvidia—in Safe Mode, then manually install the newest driver from AMD’s support site via an elevated command, such as right-clicking the installer?

Power Supply: Seasonic Core GX-650 ATX 3.0, a 650-watt, 80 Plus Gold-certified, fully modular PSU, PCIe Gen 5 compliant.

How recent is your PSU? Even if it’s brand new, it doesn’t meet the requirements for the RTX5070Ti. You should have considered a 750W or higher PSU when upgrading to the RTX5070Ti.

What temperatures are you observing for both the CPU and GPU? Use HWInfo to track them.

When sharing a troubleshooting thread, it’s standard to provide your full system specifications. Please list them clearly as follows:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
RAM:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:

Include the PSU’s age along with its make and model. Also, note the current BIOS version for your motherboard.

Moved the thread from the Components section to the Systems section.

The minimum suggested PSU for the 5070 Ti is 750W. Begin by upgrading the PSU. What memory setup are you employing? If you're running four RAM modules, consider switching to two modules or using a single module instead. Verify the condition of your storage devices with HDtune health. Execute memtest86 to assess your RAM.

I planned to upgrade just the GPU, but the issue is that all components won’t work with my new GPU, so I ended up building a new PC. I already purchased the RTX 5070 Ti, and now I’ll get the rest. Could you confirm if these parts are compatible between each other and with my card, avoiding any bottlenecks or problems?

Here’s the list of components I have:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 5.0 GHz Raphael AM5 Boxed
- Motherboard: Gigabyte B650M AORUS Elite AX (rev.1.1) AMD B650 Mainboard Socket AM5
- Case: Jonsbo TK-3 ATX Case White
- CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 5
- Case Fan: be quiet! Silent Wings 4 Pro PWM Fan140mm Black
- SSD (Storage): Western Digital Black SN850X NVMe M.2 SSD PCle 4.0 M.2 Type 2280 2TB
- RAM (Memory): G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB DDR5-6000 CL30 AMD EXPO 64 GB Dual Kit Schwarz
- Power Supply: Seasonic Vertex GX 80 Plus Gold Power Supply Modular ATX 3.0 PCIe 5.0 850 Watt
- Graphics Card (GPU): ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Solid SFF 16384 MB GDDR7

I already own this power supply: Seasonic Core GX-650 ATX 3.0, 650W, 80 Plus Gold, Fully Modular. Is it suitable for all these parts and the GPU? Should I get another one?

Also, on a scale of 10, how would you rate this build? If it doesn’t work well or is hard to fix, please share your recommendation.

Thanks in advance.
