What is the distinction between one 32GB SSD and two 16GB DDR5 SSDs?
Is there a significant change?
My current setup has dual DDR4 8GB RAM. I’m looking for more memory now.
If I had purchased a single 32GB DDR4 RAM, I could have upgraded it at that time. And with a few more years, this PC would have served me well.
Now I plan to build a new PC within a year. If I choose 32GB RAM, I’m okay sacrificing some performance for future upgrades.
Do you know how much performance one must sacrifice in percentage?
Note: I don’t play games. I only do occasional video editing, illustrator design, and website design. Browsers use RAM for websites, and Illustrator doesn’t require much. Only Adobe After Effects uses a lot of RAM.
RAM comes in sets designed together. This helps maintain consistent performance. Purchasing one unit and adding more later might lead to issues, even if they are identical.

It relies on the specific needs of each application, though the gap in raw performance between single and dual channel RAM is typically 33 to 50 percent.
