Hello, I just upgraded my Windows 11 to 22H2. Microsoft decided to stop the "taskbar on top" hack. It was a straightforward change that let users easily add the taskbar at the top. I'm searching for a customizable taskbar replacement. I don't want something flashy, but I definitely want it functional. If it's not functional, I'll look elsewhere. Thank you. Oh, and the simpler the better 😑

It seems Microsoft has made a decision to discontinue something. Related links include answers about taskbar adjustments and registry considerations. Please note that registry changes should only be attempted after backing up your system thoroughly. If you're in a similar situation, I recommend checking resources from others who have tried similar fixes.

Yeah, I don't get why MS doesn't see how helpful that feature is. I have two setups on my PC—one with the seat a bit higher for work and another lower for relaxing, gaming, and web roaming. The bar at the top is really important to me in gaming, as it hides the taskbar. I found an app called winLaunch that seems to solve this problem. It's open source, which is great. If the tests confirm it works, I'll definitely support them on Patreon.
