I have to send a bunch of emails for a legal case. What is the most universal way to save these so anyone can open them no matter what email program they use? Probably I will try saving in Outlook 365, or I could switch to webmail if needed. Thanks a lot for any help.

I'll keep those in eml right now because judges seem to prefer it. Thanks.

You can send it as a simple ASCII code or as a normal PDF file. But first, you should call your own legal team to check on this with them.

I bought a cheap laptop years ago, put Thunderbird on it, downloaded some emails I needed there, and sent them to lawyers. USAFret - I can't find any easy "automatic" way to do that... And I'm too lazy to start digging in Google/Microsoft/Yahoo APIs to write an app myself.

I'm hearing judges need to look at email details, so maybe I should keep them as .eml files until I get a lawyer. Thanks anyway.

I'll put them in an email file right now because people seem to like Thunderbird. Thanks!

Copy it as a PDF file so you can send it in whatever form is needed by the court.
